Indie Dyer Has Arrived

We have just received some brand new hand dyed sock yarn. It is Super Sock by Indie Dyer who is actually the daughter of Cheryl Potter of Cherry Tree Hill.

The colors are deep and rich, the yarn has a tight twist and a lovely sheen and it is an assortment, so there are no two colors the same. I envision a lovely shaded wrap or shrug besides socks. So much to do and so little time!

As some of you know, we lost one of our precious dogs to cancer several months ago. Wednesday Rick went to the animal shelter and brought back a new baby.

She is a pit bull mix, 5 months old and not a speck of white on her. She has the sweetest face and the brindle markings make her look like she is always smiling. She loves to jump in our laps (hopefully she won't get much bigger!) and is very klutzy. Any ideas for names?

Oh I love brindle markings! What a cutie. Can't help you in the name department though. I'm sure something will come to you.

A good name for your dog...KILLER.

I'm sorry, Anonymous. It sounds like you have had a bad experience with pit bulls. I believe an animal is what you make them, often like children. This dog is a mix, is incredibily sweet and the only danger is that she slobbers on us, the other dogs and the cats. So, no, I don't think I will call her Killer.

I think Cleo short for Cleopatra. I will think of some more before tomorrow and I will put my 77 cents in.

Cleo is cute-that might work. But I would love to hear what else you come up with. We had sort of started calling her "Phoebe", after the character on "Friends" cause she is kinda dingy. But I'm not completely sold on it yet. Keep 'em coming!

I'm better with cat names...our latest is Al E. Cat who joins Leonardo DeCatrio.
She looks like a Tootsie as in Tootsie Roll. Phoebe sounds like it fits her personality. Good Luck....love her and she will love you back no matter what breed she is.

She is darling. How about Brickle? for a name or Peanut? I named one of my dogs Battery. Is she a home run? How about Homer? Brindy?
I think the home insurance goes up when you have a Pit Bull.
I believe the dog is what you nurture it to be. Maiden?
Sugar? Sweetie? Purl?
Will we see her at the shop? Shop Girl? Girly?
My Step daughter had a Pit Bull and she looked just like your dog and they named her Precious, and she was.

It's really funny that someone said to name your dog Killer. I just got a puppy that is half pitbull, and the mom is the pitbull and her name is Killer. She's a sweetie, as is my Puppy.
