New at the Shop

I can't believe it has been almost a year since I last posted. Did you think I had dropped off the face of the earth? It has certainly been an interesting year and I am glad it is almost over.

Anyway, first off we moved the shop in February to the front of the Haberfelde Building, which is a historic building in downtown Bakersfield. The new space is twice the square footage as the old shop and, while it doesn't have quite the charm of the old space, it has much better lighting and allowed me to branch out into cross stitch, needle point, and to bring in Ashford looms and spinning wheels.

Something else new is a Ravelry group for the shop. You can find it here.

Then these are our newest yarns from Drop Spindle.
This is the superwash merino fingering.

And this is the brushed English Mohair.

D'Elin recently saw a Georgia O'Keefe exhibit and says her current colorways were influenced by that exhibit. All I know is that the colors are very rich and saturated and both yarns are extremely soft. We are going to weave with the purple/green mohair in the middle on the left (imagine that, me using purple and green!).

Arriving tomorrow-JoJoland!!
